Frequently Asked Questions
What file format should I send for a custom rubber gasket?
DXF is preferred for 2D profiles. PDF drawings and STEP files are also accepted. If you only have a sample, send a photo with dimensions or mail the sample for reverse engineering.
What is the minimum order quantity for custom cut gaskets?
MOQ starts at one piece for waterjet or flashcut prototypes. Die-cutting requires a tool, so it becomes economical typically above 500–1,000 pieces depending on size.
What tolerance can you hold on a die cut gasket?
Die-cut gaskets typically hold ±0.1–0.2 mm. Waterjet is usually ±0.2–0.5 mm and flashcut is ±0.1–0.3 mm, depending on material and thickness.
Can you cut gaskets from customer-supplied material?
Usually we supply material to ensure traceability and quality. Contact us for cutting-only arrangements if you have approved material already in stock.
How do I choose between die-cut and waterjet gasket?
Choose die-cut for volume and tight tolerance. Choose waterjet for prototypes, low volume, thick materials or complex profiles without tooling cost.
Do you offer prototype custom gaskets?
Yes. We recommend waterjet or flashcut for prototype quantities starting at one piece, with lead times as short as 3–5 days.
