O-Ring FAQ
Answers to common questions about materials, sizing, standards, ordering and delivery.
General
What O-ring materials do you supply?
We supply standard and custom O-rings in NBR (Nitrile), HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile), FKM (Viton), EPDM, VMQ (Silicone), PTFE and FFKM (Perfluoroelastomer). We also manufacture PTFE backup rings, special profiles, and custom O-ring kits for maintenance and MRO.
What is the minimum order quantity?
We accept orders from 1 piece. There is no minimum order quantity for standard sizes. Custom sizes may require a small setup quantity - contact us for details.
Can you manufacture non-standard O-ring sizes?
Yes. We manufacture O-rings to custom inner diameters and cross-sections, and we also support special sealing profiles for OEM and replacement applications. Provide your dimensions, drawing, or sample and we will confirm tooling and pricing within 24 hours.
Which international standards do your O-rings conform to?
Our O-rings are manufactured to AS568, ISO 3601, DIN 3771 and JIS B 2401 standards. Material certifications include ISO 9001, RoHS and REACH compliance.
How do I select the right O-ring material?
Select O-ring material based on operating temperature, fluid media, pressure, and whether the seal is static or dynamic. Use our Material Selector tool for an instant recommendation, or contact our engineering team for a detailed review.
What is your delivery lead time?
Standard lead time is 7-15 business days. Express production and shipping (3-5 days) is available for urgent orders. Contact us with your requirements and we will confirm the fastest available option.
Ordering & Quotes
What information should I include in my quote request?
The more detail you provide, the faster we can respond with accurate pricing. Essential: material, size (AS568 dash number or ID x CS dimensions), quantity. Helpful: application, fluid type, temperature, any certification requirements. For custom parts, attach a drawing or photo with critical dimensions.
Can you quote custom non-standard sizes?
Yes. Provide your required inside diameter and cross-section diameter. We will confirm feasibility and pricing within 24 hours. For custom sizes, tooling is typically not required if the cross-section is standard. Special profiles may require a one-time mold fee, which we disclose transparently in the quotation.
Do you provide samples before a full order?
Yes. Sample quantities are accepted - as low as 1 piece. For first-time orders or new applications, we recommend requesting samples for validation before committing to full production quantities. Sample pricing and lead time are included in the quotation upon request.
What documentation can you provide with the order?
Standard: material test certificate (compound certificate), dimensional inspection report. On request: REACH/RoHS declaration, FDA compliance certificate, hardness test report, lot traceability documentation. For automotive suppliers, we support PPAP levels 1-5.
Is there a minimum order value to receive a quotation?
No. We quote all enquiries regardless of order size. A single piece for prototyping or emergency maintenance receives the same technical attention as a production volume order. We believe in building long-term relationships that start with responsive service at any scale.
How accurate are your quoted lead times?
Our quoted lead times are based on current production scheduling and material availability. Over 95% of standard orders ship within the quoted window. If a material shortage or unexpected capacity constraint arises after quotation, we notify you immediately with an updated schedule and alternative options.
Can you quote an annual supply agreement with scheduled releases?
Yes. We offer annual pricing agreements with monthly or quarterly release schedules. These agreements lock in pricing for 12 months and reserve production capacity, ensuring consistent supply even during peak demand periods. Contact us for a customized supply agreement proposal.
Do your quotations include shipping costs?
Quotations are typically provided EXW (Ex Works) or FOB, with shipping costs quoted separately based on your preferred delivery method and destination. For DAP or DDP terms, we include freight and insurance in a single all-inclusive price. Simply specify your preferred Incoterms when requesting the quote.
Can you match a competitor's price?
We review competitor pricing on a case-by-case basis. If you have a lower quotation for an equivalent specification, send it to us and we will analyze whether we can match or beat it while maintaining our quality standards. In many cases, we can offer a more cost-effective material alternative that meets the same performance requirements.
What currencies can you quote in?
We primarily quote in US Dollars (USD) and Chinese Yuan (CNY). For customers in the European Union, we can quote in Euros (EUR). For the United Kingdom, we accept Pound Sterling (GBP) quotations. Currency conversion rates are fixed at the time of quotation and held for 30 days.
How quickly will I receive a quote?
We respond to all enquiries within 24 hours on business days. For urgent requirements, contact us directly via WhatsApp for immediate assistance. Complex custom designs may require 48 hours for full technical review and pricing.
What information should I include in my enquiry?
Please provide the material, dimensions, quantity and application if known. For standard parts, include the size or standard such as AS568 or ISO 3601. For custom parts, attach your drawing, sample notes, or key dimensions. The more detail you provide, the more accurate and complete our response will be.
Do you accept sample requests?
Yes. We can supply samples of standard sizes for testing and validation. Contact us with your specifications and we will confirm sample availability and shipping options. Custom prototypes are also available with short lead times.
Can I send a drawing for a custom O-ring?
Yes. Send your drawing in PDF, DWG or DXF format to yaoqingpu1983@gmail.com. We review both custom O-rings and other drawing-based sealing parts, then provide feasibility feedback and a quote within 24 hours. 3D models in STEP or IGES format are also accepted.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept T/T bank transfer, PayPal and Western Union. For regular customers, credit terms are available upon approval and reference check. Payment terms for approved accounts are typically Net 30 days from invoice date.
